Europe’s ambitious targets is to decrease by 2030 greenhouse gas emissions by 40% compared to 1990, and to achieve a carbon-neutral economy by 2050. Achieving these ambitious targets will require further investments in advanced materials R&I – which represent up to 80% of technology components costs. The benefit will be not only on environmental & economic perspective, but also will give rise a competitive advantage for Europe in a future where clean technologies are indispensable. In these two sections the focus will be on the development and preparation of new and advanced materials for energy storage& conversion. Theoretical and experimental characterization methods will be also presented with regards to their application on these materials. | |||
